Norman Paul Perry

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Norman Paul Perry, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who departed this life peacefully on May 16, 2025 at the age of 93. Born on November 12, 1931 in Williamson, WV Paul answered the call to serve his country with courage and conviction. A proud veteran of the Korean War, he served honorably in the Army, where his bravery and dedication earned him a Purple Heart. After his military service, Paul lived a life marked by faith and family. A devout Christian, he lived out his faith daily—leading his family in prayer, serving in his local church, and embodying the values of humility, kindness, and integrity. His Bible was well-worn, not from age, but from daily use. Paul was married to the love of his life, Anna Perry, for 52 years. Together, they built a life grounded in love, faith, raising 3 children and later delighting in the joy of grandchildren. His stories, laughter, and steady wisdom were gifts to all who knew him. Paul was greeted at heaven’s gates by his loving wife Anna Perry and sons, Gregory Paul Perry and Robert Scott Perry. He is survived by his loving son Jeff Perry, daughters Cathy Perry and Ridale Perry, grandchildren: Tiffany (Jordan) Dean, Caitlyn (Brian) Newsome, Robi Perry, and Elijah Perry, and his great grandchildren: Brennix, Keirra, Sunder, and Josiah Newsome and Keilee, Kyson, and Kooper Dean. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Chafin Funeral Home. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Chafin Funeral Home, with military honors rendered in gratitude for his service. Burial will follow at Williamson-Carter Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chris Adkins, Kenny Adkins, Jordan Dean, Brian Newsome, Adam Hall, and Jim Croaff. Honorary pallbearers are Shiner Herndon and Elijah Perry. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Paul is now at peace in the presence of his Savior, reunited with the love of his life, and hearing the words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
