John Larry Peck

John Larry Peck, Sr., age 70, of Delbarton, WV, left his earthly home for his heavenly home on June 3, 2024, to be with his heavenly Father, whom he loved with all of his heart, soul, mind, and strength. He was born on April 12, 1954, in Williamson, WV. Son of the late Ballard and Marie Clark Peck. He was a proud Veteran of the Marine Corps, and a dedicated former coal miner and a UMWA member. He exemplified the values of hard work, honor, and love throughout his life. Born to humble beginnings, John forged a path marked by resilience and strength. His time in the Marine Corps instilled in him a profound sense of duty and loyalty, which he carried with him into his career as a coal miner, providing tirelessly for his family. John's unwavering dedication to his work was surpassed only by his devotion to his loved ones. John is survived by his beloved children: his son, John Larry Peck, Jr., and his daughters, Amy Hall and Tina Peck. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Evan Hall, Victoria Hall, and Betina Peck, and his precious great-grandchildren, Mark and Amelia Hall as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews whom he truly loved. He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Ann (Dennis) Smith, whose bond with John remained unbreakable over the years. John's love for his family was evident in every facet of his life, and he leaves behind a legacy of undeterred dedication, unwavering support and boundless love. John is reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, June Hensley Peck, whose memory he cherished every day. He is also with his siblings, Bill Peck and Betty Protuck Erwin, Robert Protuck, and Kenneth Peck; along with his parents, whose teachings and love shaped the man he became. John Larry Peck, Sr., a great man of faith, will be remembered as a great provider, a loving father, a devoted grandfather, and a proud great-grandfather. His enduring spirit, kindness, and dedication to family will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. In our memories and stories, John’s legacy will continue to inspire strength, compassion, and the true meaning of family. Rest in peace, John Larry Peck, Sr. Your life was a testament to the values you held dear, and your memory will forever be cherished. A memorial service to cherish the memory of John will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 7:00 pm at the Rockhouse Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Erwin officiating.
