Inas Evans

The wonderful Inas Evans gained her wings at age 86 and entered into her eternal home of rest on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 while at the Appalachian Regional Hospital. Inas was born to the late Leonard Cisco and Ida Mayhorn on August 24, 1937 in Beech Creek, WV. Inas is accompanied into the Kingdom of Heaven by her loving husband Albert Evans, her brothers Clyde Cisco, Carlton Cisco, Cedric Cisc, Charles Cisco, Clellis Cisco, Clinton Cisco, and Curby Cisco, and her sisters Vitoria Melinda Varney, Orphia Evans, Marjorie Simpkins, and Ada Ann Kinder. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her three sons George Washington Evans II, William Albert Evans, and Michael Anthony Evans, her daughter Linda Gail Evans, her grandchildren Heather Marcum, Tiffany Marum, and William Nathan Evans and his wife Alexis Paige Evans, her two great grandchildren Aria River Evans and Bellamy Grey Evans, and host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family members. Throughout her life, Inas worked as a desk receptionist at the T-Motel. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Williamson and was also a member of the Eastern Star. She was a dedicated woman and loved her community. Inas loved politics and ran for Mingo County Board of Education. She had many accomplishments throughout her life, including working for the Assessor’s office in Mingo County for many years, being the President of The Democratic Women’s Club, owning a sub shop in Delbarton named “Evans Sub Shop”, and even raised and showed Persian Cats, leading to her winning the best of show in the USA with them. She loved to cook, be outdoors, and especially to crochet. Inas would often crochet items and give them to others. Those who knew Inas, knew of her fresh squeezed lemonade. Her personality was one like no other; quick witted and full of life. Inas will be dearly missed by so many. Visitation for Inas will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 from 6:00PM-9:00PM. A funeral service will take place the following day, Sunday, March 3rd, 2024 at 1:00PM. Burial will be to follow at the Farley Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Albert.
