Terry Dillon 61 of Lenore, WV passed away Feb. 5, 2016 at the Williamson Memorial Hospital. He was born April 10, 1954 at Logan, WV the son of the late Grover C. Dillon and Rebecca Newsome Dillon Maynard. He was also preceded in death by step-father, John B. Maynard, brother, James C. Dillon, Brothers-in-law, Steve Carey and Louie "Chuck" Carey and mother in law, Lorraine Carey. Terry was a US Army Veteran and a retired coal miner. He had a love of the outdoors and wildlife, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Terry never met a stranger, if you talked with him for 20 minutes you would walk away feeling as if you had known him for 20 years. He loved a good joke and a prank, he always had a twinkle in his eye. He was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Terry will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Those left behind to cherish his memories include his loving wife of 40 years, Joetta Dillon. His son, Terry Joe and wife Amanda of Milton, WV, daughter, Jennifer of Williamson, WV and grandson, Hayden Thomas of Milton. Brother, Bill (Birdie) Newsome of Dingess, sister, Sandra Kay (Bill) Bush of Huntington, brother, Larry Ray (Patricia) Dillon of Dingess. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs that he treated as family. Funeral services will be held Tuesday Feb. 9, 2016 at 1:00pm at the Laurel Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. James Ed Baisden and Rev. Curtis Booth Officiating. Burial will follow in the Carey Cemetery at Laurel Creek, WV. Visitation will be at the Church after 6:00pm with special services starting at 7:00pm Monday evening.
