Rudy Darrell Adkins, Sr., 38 of Taylorville, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home, John 11:35 "Jesus Wept", on March 14, 2016. Born April 22, 1977 in Monroe, MI., he was the son of Roger and Sandy Adkins of Delbarton, WV. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Russell and Lillian Adkins and Harold and Fern Jude, and an uncle Joey Jude, and a very special aunt Helen Runyon. Rudy was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Mary Starr Adkins of almost 19 years. A dedicated father to Rudy Jr. (RJ) and Zachary. He deeply loved his family. His boys were his joy of life. Other survivors left to mourn are: His Father in Law, Albert Starr of Taylorville, sisters in law: Angie (George) Tiller of Delbarton, June (Johnny) Justice, of North Carolina and Joetta (Johnboy) Eanes, of Grove City, OH and his cousin whom he considered his sister, Mirinda his best friend like a brother, Dough Vance, and Morgan Bentley. Rudy was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also loved to go four wheeling and shoot pool with his boys. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Chafin Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Mayhew officiating. Burial will follow in the Jewell Cemetery at Chattaroy, WV with nephews: Scott Starr, Matt Tiller, John Justice, Gary Eanes, Patrick Eanes and Austin White and friends serving as pallbearers.
