Oscar Etters 81 of Lenore, WV passed away April 4, 2019 at the Williamson Memorial Hospital. He was born April 21, 1938 at Myrtle, WV. He was the son of the late Claude and Ethel Dempsey Etters. He was also preceded in death by his wife; Clara Jude Etters, brother; Robert Etters, sister; Goldie Newsome. Oscar was retired from Logan Motor Sales. He was well known throughout the area for his love for music. He was very talented playing many different instruments but he really loved to play his banjo the most. Those left behind to cherish his memories include his brother; Elmer Etters of Columbus, OH, sister; Rose Newsome with whom he made his home with, step-daughter; Debbie Parsley of Lenore, special friend; Chip Canterbury, 4 step- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday April 7, 2019 at 1:00pm with Bro. Mark Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in the Ooten Cemetery at Trace Creek, WV.
