Lloyd Mills Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lloyd D. Mills, 74, of Lenore, West Virginia, was reunited with his loving wife in Heaven after passing away peacefully in his home on January 21, 2022. He was born March 7, 1947 at Chattaroy, WV. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Connie (Arms) Mills; his father Luther Mills; mother Cleda (Farris) Mills; and three sisters Reva Thompson, Joyce Mayhone, and Lois Gillman. He is survived by sister Margie Napier (Oak Lawn, IL), brothers Jack (Debbie) Mills (Lenore) and Danny Mills (Lenore); three children James Mills (J.J.) (Marsha) of Jefferson City, TN, Adam Mills (Nikki) of Lenore, WV, and Crystal Moore (Jody) of Nicholasville, KY, along with several grandchildren: Dustin Mills (Ashley), Bryanna Mills, Nate Moore, Sam Moore, Alexis Newsome, Remington Cash Newsome, Jaylah Mills, and Kainen Mills; dear niece Frita Kerenan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lloyd attended the Nolan Freewill Baptist Church for many years. He held several close friendships and was an active member in the Lenore and Naugatuck communities. Lloyd was an avid drag racing fan and often could be found at the race track, either racing or supporting his sons and grandson. Throughout his life he had enjoyed woodworking, bird hunting, supporting Tug Valley High School sports, and camping on Lake Douglas. His favorite past time without question was gathering with friends and family. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Lloyd will be missed by many. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the friends who supported Lloyd over the past several weeks. Services will be held at Chafin Funeral Home in Delbarton on Monday, January 24, 2022, with visitation from 11:00-1:00 and services immediately following at 1:00 with Pastor Earl White officiating. Following the service the Disabled Veterans Chapter 141 Belfry, KY will perform the last rites service. There will be no burial following the services.
