John Edward Lowe

September 28, 1946 - March 27, 2022

John Edward Lowe, 75 of Taylorville, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday March 27, 2022 at his home surrounded by those that loved him dearly. John was born September 28, 1946 in Chapmanville, WV the son of the late John W. Lowe and Gladys Lucille Cull Lowe. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald R. Lowe and David P. Lowe. John was a retired heavy equipment operator with Coal-Mac. Inc. He was a member of the Gospel House Church of Taylorville where he enjoyed playing guitar and singing for the Lord. He also loved going hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Those left behind to cherish his memories include his wife of 43 years, Alice Faye Baisden Lowe, three daughters, Rhonda F. Nichols Hall and her husband Dennis of Taylorville, WV, Theresa and her husband George Taylor of Roxboro, NC and Sherry Lowe of North Carolina, sons, Roy M. Lowe and wife Veronica of Hurricane, WV, John Ray Lowe of Charleston, WV and Bobby Lowe of North Carolina, sister, Rebecca L. Lowe Lane of Jefferson, OH. He was blessed to have more than 17 grandchildren and more than 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 11:00am with Rev. Haskell Runyon and Rev. Jason Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-9pm at the funeral home chapel. Pallbearers will be Daryl Evans, Dennis Hall, Blake Hall, Dustin Hall, Donnie Maynard, Mark Miller and John Turner. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
