James "Jim" R. Enomoto, 85, of Delbarton, WV went to be with the Lord in Heaven on March 26, 2016 after battling a lengthy illness. He was surrounded by his loving family, including his wife Sue, who was his faithful caregiver. Jim was born on November 15, 1930 in Honolulu, HI. The son of the late Keichi and Marie (Carvalho) Enomoto, and was raised by a cherished family friend he lovingly referred to as "Auntie Mary" Costa. At the age of 19, Jim joined the U.S. Army. His Military career spanned 20 years, during which he earned several medals of distinction, including the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Army Commendation Medal, four good conduct medal, The National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, The Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze stars, The Combat Infantryman Badge, The Expert Infantryman Badge, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon and The Bronze Star for Meritorious Service Against the Armed Ground Enemy Republic of Vietnam. He married Sue Crum of Delbarton on May 11, 1965 in Fairbanks, Alaska, a few months before being deployed to serve in the Vietnam War. After retiring from the US Army in 1970, he relocated with his wife and two daughters, Kim (Brewster) Akers and Lisa (Brewster) Heflin to Delbarton. He then established his business, Jim's Market in downtown Delbarton, which he operated for eleven years. He and Sue had a daughter, Jamie Enomoto-Baisden during these years in 1973. After closing the store, Jim worked for MacNamee Coal Company until its close after which he retired. He spent his retirement years enjoying fishing, four-wheeling, traveling, attending the Regional Church of God and being with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Victor Enomoto Carvalho. His is survived wife Sue, daughters, Kim (Jerry) Akers and Lisa (J.B.) Heflin both of Williamson, Jamie (Joseph) Enomoto-Baisden of Blacksburg, VA, Constance (Mark) Woyciesjes of South Carolina, Sharan Enomoto of Washington and Yvonne Enomoto Reynolds of California, grandchildren, Tracey Akers, Daniel Heflin, Kailani, Matthew, Leila and Isabella Baisden and Angela, Brad, Christina and Cole Woyciesjes. He has a great-grandson, Grayson Day and brother, William Enomoto, sister, Francis Enomoto and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday evening March 28, 2016 at 7:00pm at the Chafin Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchell Bias officiating. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-9pm. Graveside services will be held Tuesday March 29, 2016 at 1:00pm at the Sparks Cemetery at Clifford, KY. Online condolences can be made at ChafinFuneralHome.Com.
