Gloria “Bill Hope” Davis, 69 of Delbarton, WV passed away March 23, 2017 at her home. She was born Sept. 11, 1947 at Puritan Mines, WV the daughter of the late James and Mary Chafin Hignite. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Hignite, brother-in-law, Steve Carey and her Father and Mother in law, Frank and Roxie Davis. Gloria was a member of the Bethany Old Regular Baptist Church. She was a former Custodian for the Mingo Co. Board of Education. She was a loving, wife, mother and grandmother. Her survivors include her husband of 49 years, Kenneth D. Davis Sr., children, Kenneth (Lahomah) Davis, Scott (Kathy) Davis and Lisa Davis, grandchildren, Kenny Davis, Matthew Davis, Zackery Scott Davis and Aaron Davis, siblings, Brenda (Winfield) Collins, Sarah (Freddie) Music, Lester (Veronica) Hignite, Freddie Jo Hignite, Bobby (Pam) Hignite, Nettie Carey, George (Teresa Spradlin) Hignite and Deanna (J.B.) Stafford, sister-in-law, Vina Hignite and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to Nancy “Trinia” Clay for her special care for our mother. Funeral services will be held Saturday evening March 25, 2017 at 7:00pm at the Chafin Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 6-9pm Saturday evening.
