Thomas Lee Francis

Thomas Lee Francis 50, of Matewan, WV passed away Tuesday October 18, 2022 in an accident on the King Coal Highway. He was born December 16, 1971 at Welch, WV. Thomas was preceded in death by his dads; Herbie Farley and Roy Ray Francis, grandparents; Hurbert and Ruby Farley and Isabelle Browning, brothers; Anthony Ray Francis and Darrell Franklin Francis, daughter; Heather Smith, Grandson; Eathan Smith and aunt; Alice Browning. Thomas was a diesel mechanic for FAB Trucking and has been employed by the Farley Brothers for more than 35 years. He was one of the hardest working men in the world, even though he worked nearly every day of his life, he still found room in his heart for the worries of others. Rest easy our brother. We love you and you will always be in our hearts. Those left behind to cherish his memory include his, mothers; Wilda and William Armstrong Sr. and Sherri Farley Preece, girlfriend; Jennifer Salsbury, ex-wife of 20 years; Ann Smith Francis, brothers; Claude Eugene Francis, Randall Lee Francis, Herbie Farley III, Billy Farley, Justin Farley and Claude Everett Hammond Jr., brother-in-law, Mokie Tackett, Sisters; Clarissa Lynn Tackett, Shelia Efferman and Lexy Farley, uncles; Brian (Linda) Farley, Kenny (Connie) Farley, Randy (Cookie) Farley, Dwayne and Holly Mounts, Roger Browning and Wayne Browning, aunts; Cleeta and Kenneth Mullins, nieces; Alexis and David Jarrell, Jaimie Leanne Hinkle, nephews; Darrell Francis Jr., Jeffery Francis, Andy Francis, Randy Francis, Alex Francis, Joey Mitchem, Shane Tackett and Kendall Tackett, grandchildren; Makaylee Smith, Kendra Cox, Kaen Cox and Jayla Jessie and many more cousins, great nieces and nephews, family and friends. He will be sadly missed but the love will always remain. Memorial services for Thomas will be held Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 1:00pm with Rev. David Stratton and Bro. Claude Starr officiating visitation will be at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Farley Cemetery at McCarr, KY. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 11:00am on Sunday morning and will last until the funeral starts at 1:00pm. Chafin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
