Theodore "Ted" R. Warden

Theodore R. Warden (Ted), 69 of Delbarton, WV entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday morning, May 26, 2024, right after he arrived at his church for Sunday services. Ted was born on June 26, 1954, the son of the late Silas Jackson and Christene Warden. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Jackson (Wally) Warden and John Christopher Warden. Ted was a lifelong member of W. A. Connolly Memorial Baptist Church where he served as janitor, Sunday School teacher, trustee and deacon. He was also a former Mingo County Board of Education member and was a current member of the Delbarton Kiwanis Club. He believed in doing as much as you possibly could for the kids in the community. He loved to participate in the fishing tournament during Delbarton's Homecoming activities. Ted leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving children: Tonya & John Meddings, TJ & Tiffany Warden and David & Missy Warden. Also left to cherish his memory are his precious grandchildren that he loved very much and was so proud of: Austin & Hannah Warden, Taylor Wilson, Chase & Brooke Warden, Kaylee Meddings, Autumn Warden, Cruz Warden, Jacoby Thornsbury, Keirsten Campbell & Kyle Campbell. Also, his great grandchildren that he loved dearly: Kenna, Kayden, Ava, Kyson, Kambree & Peyton. Ted also leaves behind his sister and her husband, Melanie and Greg Swisher and a brother and his wife, Brian and Marsha Warden. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ted leaves behind a couple of lifelong friends that he knew he could depend on any given time he needed them and that is: Bill and Missy Endicott, Diann and Everett Hännah, Russel Deskins, Jerome Marcum, John and Janice Ramey, Charles and Pat Tingler, Shannon Hall, and many more who will miss his presence very much. There was two other people that was close to Ted and that was Scotty Clevenger and Clinton Baisden, who worked around Ted's house and went places with him all of the time. His church family will miss him dearly, but they know they will see him again one day when the Lord calls us all home. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Connolly Memorial Baptist Church. If anybody would like to donate, please make it to either W.A.
