Paul Franklin Justice Sr.

Paul Franklin Justice, Sr., 70, of Taylorville, W.Va., passed away on September 2, 2025, surrounded by friends and family. Paul was born on October 14, 1954, at Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson, W.Va. He was the son of the late Stewart Justice, Sr., and the late Glendine Justice. Paul was a prominent and enterprising businessman who was well-liked throughout the community. The owner of Goodwill Motors, he had many business interests, among them a salvage yard, towing service, and rental properties. Paul was an avid fisherman who divided his time between Taylorville, W.Va.; Grayson, Ky.; and Sebastian, Fla. He is survived by his devoted wife Deborah Lynn Justice and three sons: Paul “PJ” (Robert Cox) Justice, Jr., of Kannapolis, N.C.; Joshua (Angel Hannah) Justice of Taylorville, W.Va.; and Blake (Morgan Day) Hunt of Huntington, W.Va. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Kaylee Justice and Warren Hunt. Paul is also survived by six siblings: brother Stewart (Linda) Justice, Jr., of Logan, W. Va.; sister Janice Chafin of Sebastian, Fla.; brother Larry Justice of Fort Pierce, Fla.; brother Homer (Jennifer) Justice of Taylorville, W.Va.; sister Caressa Justice of Taylorville, W.Va.; and brother Loranza Justice of Teays Valley, W.Va.; as well as numerous extended family members. Paul was preceded in death by brother Bradford Justice. A viewing and memorial service will be held at Chafin Funeral Home from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Officiating will be Dallas Rife, Eddie Layne, and Timmy Layne. Per his wishes, Paul’s body is to be cremated and his ashes scattered along Pigeon Creek, where he conducted the majority of his business dealings. The Justice family would like to take this opportunity to give a heartfelt thanks to Burns and Mirt Diamond, Frank and Cindy Williams, Brent and Patty Edwards, Jerry Gray, Craig Cantrell, Joyce Clark, and Marshall Justice for their love, support, and comfort during this difficult time. The Justices would also like to thank the many compassionate doctors and nurses at Pikeville Medical Center for their diligent care and professionalism.
