David Jarrell

David Jarrell, 51, of Delbarton, WV, departed from this life on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 while at ARH in South Williamson, KY. David was born on January 15th, 1972 in Norwich Connecticut to the late Troy Jarrell Sr. and Mary Dean Jarrell. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his loving father figure Roger Estepp and his special friends Chris Selvage and Dave Taylor. Many knew David as a big jokester. He was always joking around, bringing light to any situation. He was full of charisma and love and never failed to make those around him laugh. He loved his friends and family dearly. People often describe him as “the life of the party”. He loved to host cookouts and barbeque on the grill – which he was talented at. He adored trains and train models. And he also loved wrestling. He was a lifelong wrestler for ASW. David worked as an EMT for STAT for many years before transferring to work in the mines for DB Coal. David leaves behind a multitude of loved ones, including: his loving wife Tabitha Griffey, his sons David (Alexis) Jarrell II, James (Alisha) Brewer Jr, and David LJ (Bri) Brewer, his daughters Brittany Jarrell and her significant other Ryan Knowlton, Emily Jarrell and her significant other Malcolm Skeens, and Brianna Brewer, his grandchildren Kinsley Jude, Levi Skeens, Jaxon Skeens, Madelynn Jarrell, Kris, Logan, Zoey, Gunner, Sloane, and Octavia. He also leaves behind his brothers Tommy (Kay) Pennington and Troy (Kimberly) Jarrell Jr, his sister Dollie (Dallas) Toler, and his special friends Big Murn, Ray Slone, Homer Mullins, Chad Smith, and Steven Marcum. Services for David will be held at Chafin Funeral Home in Delbarton, WV. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 11th 2024 from 6:00pm-9:00pm. The service will be on Friday, January 12th, 2024 beginning at 1:00pm with a burial to follow at Jarrell Cemetery in Buskirk, KY. Rev. Scott Erwin will be officiating. Pallbearers include David Jarrell II, Malcolm Skeens, Marion Kennedy, Cody Crum, Chad Smith, Ray Slone, Steve Pope, and Eddie Daugherty. Honorary Pallbearers will include David’s EMS family.
