Alice Corrine Mahone

Obituary of Alice Corrine (Browning) Mahone formerly of Duncan Fork WV but after a lengthy illness passed away at St. Albans WV. Age 90. She was born January 24, 1932 at Hell Creek, WV and left us to live with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. Services will be held at Chaffin’s Funeral Home on Saturday, August 13th. Viewing for the family will begin at 10:00 AM followed by the public viewing at 11:00 AM with the funeral service beginning at noon. Her final resting place will be at Mountain View Memorial Gardens at Mayer, Corrine was an honors graduate of Burch High School. She was an accomplished designer of clothing and had a green thumb with any type of gardening. Corrine cherished her children and was a wonderful mother and loving wife. She was a devout Christian and a member of Duncan Fork United Baptist Church. She lived life to the fullest and always tried to see the positive side of any situation. Corrine was preceded in death by her one and only love, Harmon Johnny Mahone. They had four children and two adopted children. Ermal Ray Mahone of Duncan Fork WV, special daughter-in-law Brenda Hall of Duncan Fork WV, Judy Ann Mahone Davis and her husband Larry (Bear) Davis (deceased) of Lenore, WV, Patricia Mahone Clark and her husband Jerry Allen Clark (deceased) of Danville WV, Connie Sue Mahone Shaffer and her husband Bradie Shaffer of St. Albans, WV, Tamara (Tammy) Mahone Maynard and her husband Ralph Maynard of Lenore WV, and Daniel Mahone of Lenore WV. Corrine has 12 grandchildren. Johnny Ray Mahone, Ralph Joe Marcum, Claude (CJ) Vance, Larry Ringo Davis, Mary Allison Davis Whitt, Patrick (PJ) Davis, David D. Clark, Angela Sue Clark Marcum (deceased), Christopher Kavanaugh, Bradie (Bobby) Shaffer III, Larissa Shaffer, and Lindsey Shaffer. She has 15 great grandchildren. Katlyn Vance, Emma Vance, Chase Vance, Jackson Ray Davis, Jasmine Elise Davis, Katelyn Mackenzie Bevins, Matthew Kent Bevins, Meghan Grace Bevins, Mia Hope Bevins, Levi Whitt, Brooklynn Whitt, Madalynne Nichole Marcum, Joshua Marcum, Charlie Kavanaugh, and Kendyll Kavanaugh. She is preceded in death by her loving parents Dan and Ruby Browning. She has 4 brothers and 7 sisters. Edna May Browning Ferrell and husband Enoch (deceased), Lorraine (Tootsie) Browning Sammons and husband Pearly, Dallas Frank Browning and wife Rosie, Irene Browning Copley (deceased), Johnny Browning and wife Glenda (deceased), Pauline Browning Walker (deceased), Albert Browning and wife Lisa, Billie Jo Browning Maynard and husband Carl, Anna Rose Browning, Dan Browning Jr (deceased) and wife Glenna. Corrine also has many loving nephews, nieces, and cousins. With loving hearts, we will miss this proud spunky lady.
